Welcome to the website of the South Asia Communication Association (SACA).
South Asia Communication Association (SACA) is a joint effort of media and communication scholars and practitioners in South Asia and the South Asian diaspora worldwide. SACA consists of scholars studying nine South Asian countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The SACA is an umbrella organization with a presence in a number of different organizations and their conferences. Our members present regularly at the annual conferences of the International Communication Association, International Association for Media and Communication Research, Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Annual Conference on South Asia, the National Communication Association and others.
